PYROGEN FIRE TEST
May 03, 2007
ENGINES-1 Completes another fire test series. Harris
Allen the ENGINES-1 marine fire systems design engineer and main
distributor for the recreational boating industry has completed a series on a new design 35' RIB.
This test was a "worse case" fire test and used small rocket motors as
an ignition source. The gas jet from the motors was designed to cause
an engine room explosion, followed by a very large fire and flame
front. Both the test protocol and the fire suppression system works as
designed. Using only our exclusive "manual T-Start" and a pull
cable, this simple and light weight system provided our client with a fire suppression system
that is less than 10% of the weight of competing gas systems. The
Pyrogen Aerosol contains no HFC or CFC gasses and chemically inhibits
combustion. This fire test was done with a fire suppression systems
that only weighs a few pounds. Non pressurized, with no plumbing
pyrogen aerosol was the best system tested. For more information

Our new IPEX impulse powder systems. Complies with NFPA2010 for dispersed aerosols. These systems are non pressurized and can use any approved ABC powder. We use a gas generator to replace the pressure gas bottle used by older powder systems. This insures we get 99% of the agent out of the container, SSL app -2149

systems. Complies

Our new IPEXsystems will distribute 99% of the powder agent. They can be loaded with any approved dry powder agent. They are not pressurized and can not leak like older systems. The agent does not clump or lump from vehicle vibrations like older powder systems. More NFPA 2010 disbursed aerosol video these are in a .fl format so you may need a driver to view these.
Diesel Engine suppression test,
IPEX-15 Designed for large vehicles and industrial equipment, this sis a serious systems for large fire threats this system uses distribution hose and four nozzles
IPEX-7 is a more compact and smaller systems. this is one of the systems we use on "Up Armored" vehicles for heads of state and anti terrorist of kidnapers in South America.
IPEX-7 Same test as above different view.
Our EXA series of generators, open air outside test. This EX 30 generators were designed to protect 30 cubic meters (1059 cubic feet each) Although this test is done outside and with a cross wind you can see the effectiveness of the aerosol. SSL app1781

Here
is a Aladdin Mantel lamp, inside a wind
proof
cover, in a the bottom of a 19" server rack.
PyroRack
detects the fire and extinguishes it.
DO NOT TRY THIS TEST.. With FM200 or
any other CFC or HFC gas. The post combustion by products of the
gaseous
agents will react with the incandescent mantel flame and form Hydrofluoric
Acid, (HF) . The acid will etch the glass parts on the lamp
and cover, it is also very
toxic . There is no post combustion by products from the Pyrogen
Aerosol
when exposed to these flames. Watch how quickly the Incandescent mantel
goes out.

Here in this test a Class B kerosene lantern and a Class A wood
crib
are burned. The system is automatic with complete detection and
suppressant
in a 2U form factor plugin rack mount. (red upper right) Simple,
inexpensive, cost effective. Why flood the entire room for a single bad
cabinet. Server and Telecom cabinet models up to 5 cubic meters in
volume.
Pyrogen Video, the original movie and the one that started everything in the aerosol extinguishing. This is in Real Video Format (.r v) and is compressed to a smaller format so it can stream over low bandwidth connections. This is 6 minutes long ,so get some coffee. it is also available on U-Tube Title: Pyrogen Aerosol. keyword Pyrogen Aerosol or FAR2010.
Click the button to the right to view this test. We apologize for the audio, this is a field test with generators and wind noise. Boeing 737 electronics bay, Located below the pilots floor is the area from the radome around the nose wheel well and forward of the cargo compartment. This data and report is displayed on the web site. This date was able to show the extinguishment time were with in milli seconds, and the O2 levels were above 18.5% (well above mammalian life requirements) more information here
What you should now about fire extinguishers, After this you will want a Fire caddy for sure. Small business, companies in buildings without fixed suppression systems should send this link to all your employees.
