Pyrogen Technologies Sdn Bhd, An ISO 9001:2000 CompanyCondensed Aerosol Fire suppression systems approved and listed by
Pyrogen Snd Bhd and our US distributor Firepak Oil and Gas Industries, Ltd. have been working with Metal Storm Ltd. (ASX: MST and Nasdaq Small Cap: MTSX), on the development of a new innovative fire suppression concept. This system concept will be unveiled and presented at this years Halon Options Technical Working Conference HOTWC. held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, 30 April – 2 May 2002. Metal
Storm's 100%
electronic ballistics system concept combined with Pyrogen's fire
fighting
capabilities provides the potential to prevent conflagrations in high
rise
buildings. The concept will allow fire departments and on scene
commanders
to suppress fires in high rise buildings, beyond the reach of ladders
and
conventional techniques. Rapidly deployable and flexible the combined
technologies
are a true revolution in high rise building fire fighting.
Deployed via Helicopter or specialized
land vehicle, the Pyrogen /Metal Storm concept will allow for first
response
capabilities in elevated floors, buying time for the regular fire
fighters
to organize and begin their attack. Even in the event of a sprinkler
system
failure, Pyrogen aerosol can be rapidly deployed, suppressing the fire
and reducing the thermal loading on the building structure. This should
help delay or prevent structural collapse of the upper floors.
Pyrogen systems can
be
added to existing protection installations, replace Halon, CO2 or other
fixed systems.
Pyrogen systems can
be used to enhance existing sprinkler systems. Pyrogen can protect t he
space, extinguishing the fire without the water damage associated with
water sprinklers. This reduces losses and saves the clean up and
replacement
of expensive equipment. Often the office or storage facilities can be
back
in service as soon as the aerosol is ventilated from the building.
Pyrogen systems can
be specifically designed with hybrid installations for particular
requirements.
Libraries, museums, historical buildings as well as records storage
facilities
can be safely protected. High danger areas, spray booths, paint
lockers,
specialty storage can be protected. click here

Thermal activation device: This unit senses the temperature of the surrounding space. If the detector is exposed to an open flame or temperatures in excess of 175 deg, C the unit springs into action, dispensing the aerosol. This system requires no power, and can be installed when normal systems are out of service for maintenance, repair, or loss of water pressure. When installed is the most fail safe system available today.Electrical activation: This method ties into a normal approved control system. The system design allows for both new installations or addition to existing sprinkler or protection system.
Combination of both: Unlike most other systems Pyrogen systems can use both ignition systems at the same time. Detection systems can be better tailored to specific or unusual threats
Medium sized Mag-13Pyrogen's simple installation, systems can be replaced in just a couple hours after being activated. Unlike sprinkled heads, or pressurized bottles, Pyrogen generators can be maintained on site to reduce the out service time after use. Without the clean up requirements of water, or the lead time for Halon/CO2 bottles, Pyrogen generators can be placed back in service, once again protecting the building, often before the fire department leaves leaves the scene.
Pyrogen is perfect for protection in Libraries, museums, or other areas where water or other chemical agents are not practical, Pyrogen's micron size aerosol particles protects the delicacy of the artifacts / antiquities with out the damage of water, or the global effects of HALO CARBONS.
